If I may, I like to make a point about Republicans. I have nothing against those that are of this political party. I have some really cool awesome loyal friends that are republicans. Although I might disagree with their proposed solutions or ideology in resolving issues or implementing necessary solutions yet I am in support of their right to voice their opinions. I just don’t have to agree with them and this is my right just as it is their right not to agree with my or your opinions.
I think instead of labeling people by political party we should agree there are plainly just those who are deluded and/or lack the potential for facing reality due to being mired in ignorance, arrogance and stupidity which plainly indicates their predominant nature is that of greed, animality, anger or hell.
Greed is the primary flow in a hunger based society. Which is the impetus for many of the suffering we are both seeing and experiencing especially Climate Change.
I think by viewing republicans in this way it in turn gives viable suggestion that change or human revolution is essential for people in this state of life (life-condition).
I think perhaps that this is the way that most Buddhist view Republicans. At least I think so. Don’t you think?
In conclusion I like to post an excerpt from Daisaku Ikeda’s 2015 Peace Proposal:
The first is the “rehumanization of politics and economics” making their prime motivation the alleviation of the suffering of individuals. The most important driving force for this is the solidarity of ordinary citizens who have raised their voices based on an unyielding commitment to our collective future.
The second is what I call “a chain reaction of empowerment,” encapsulated in the idea that a great revolution of character in just a single individual can help achieve a change in the destiny of an entire society and make possible a change in the destiny of all humankind.
The third theme is the expansion of friendship across differences in order to build a world of coexistence. Expanding human solidarity based on a shared concern for the threats faced by all of us holds the key to the alleviation of human suffering. The one thing any of us can do at any time to contribute to building that solidarity is to generate a broader network of friendship through dialogue.
Thank you for taking time out to read my opinion.
