Green Matters

Green Matters

Green Matters is for people looking to live more sustainably, fight the climate crisis, and learn about environmental justice. Our coverage brings awareness to issues surrounding the climate crisis — as well as solutions.

We hope to inspire you to make simple changes to your daily habits and lifestyle, and also to empower you to fight for what you believe in. We believe that many small actions can collectively make a big difference in ensuring a healthy planet for generations to come.

Some of the topics we cover at Green Matters include:

  • Sustainable living trends
  • Climate news
  • Environmental change-makers
  • Food and energy innovation
  • Conservation
  • Climate justice
  • Animal welfare
  • Tips for living sustainably

Green Matters is owned and operated by Engrost, Inc.

Editorial Standards

While Green Matter’s primary mission is to help people learn how to live sustainably and make the world a better place for all of us who inhabit, we are dedicated to making this goal a reality by making sure all of our writing and reporting is done responsibly and ethically.

At Green Matters, we adhere to the Society of Professional Journalists’ Code of Ethics, which offers four principles that guide our reporting: seek the truth and report it, minimize harm, act independently, and be accountable and transparent.

We firmly believe that accurate and impartial journalism is at the heart of a functioning society, and as active members of our global community, we recognize our role in holding those in power accountable and dedicated to sharing diverse perspectives that make up our community at large.

As journalists, we have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to plagiarism, and we do not allow our writers or editors to accept gifts, bribes, or any sort of compensation in exchange for coverage or press.

At Green Matters, we are committed to acting independently, but thinking globally.

Sponsored Content and Product Recommendations

We do not currently receive any revenue from any products we may review on our site; we only feature products that are thoroughly researched and approved by either our dedicated team of green-obsessed editors, or an expert. If we feature a product, it’s because we genuinely believe in the product — and hope you do too.

Accuracy and Fact Checking

As a news source, accuracy is at the heart of everything we do. Everything published on Green Matters is thoroughly researched by our writers, and then vetted by our editors who not only fact check the claims within a story, but also edit the stories for clarity, style, typos, and tone.

As a news source, we are also dedicated to updating what we’re sharing as news breaks and new information is made public.

Corrections

With authenticity and accountability at the center of everything we do, we strive to only put out the most up-to-date and accurate information at all times. Still, sometimes things are missed. Spot a mistake? Let us know by emailing us at corrections@greenmatters.com.
