A Simple Blog Post about a Profound Image!
An Image worth its Weight in Words of How Things Should Be!
When I first came up this image with a few other similar ones back in 2017 I immediately thought that this was an entire book in one simple jpeg image. Its profundity moved me as collectively this should be our actions now especially as our shared Climate Emergency worsens. Basically it should be where all of us on the planet should be.
Think about it for a second. Many (but not all of course of us) spend such a great deal of time and energy disagreeing with each other, criticizing our leaders, our states and government, presidential and other political candidates about what could have been or how great it was when so and so was this or that leader.
I will tell right now in your face that we must include long range thinking into our lives, we must think 10 or more years ahead and as (and when) we pass the 1.6 or 2.3 increase because of greenhouse gases (Methane included) then we will witness devastation that we haven’t yet and will seem unthinkable now in present day.
If we truly care about our children’s future we have to start acting like it and stop all this B.S. nonsense about what we can and will do when we have power. Our current President and his cabinet is of course not without its faults, however imagine having a despotic autocrat in power and the damage to our children’s future that will happen as a result.
Nonsense not only includes complaining about our government, leaders and the political conditions but constant barrages from various media sources about how dangerous AI is. The reality we face now and will face in years to come is quite frankly based on what we do, not what will become. We hold the reigns to help our children realize a much more sustainable and extinction-free world and they will certainly need AI’s help when you consider the amount of ignorance that pervades our planet at present.
Since our Climate Emergency is a cause and effect reality for sure then the solutions and path forward should be based on actions that positively will affect how our children will receive the planet. Will it be in total chaos and destruction or will it be hope filled with clear evidence we worked hard to provide a sustainable habitable planet for them?
This featured image above of our handing over the planet to our young adults and children says a lot and it is what people like Greta Thunberg, the Climate Strike Organization, the Sunrise Movement and many other youth led Climate Justice Advocates and Organizations have been working hard to drum into us. A sobering and sad reality that is an easy recognizable reality is that these children and young adults frankly show much more maturity and wisdom then some of our elected and world leaders.
We literally have to grow up psychologically, emotionally, intellectually and be open to being educated in order to develop a much deeper level of wisdom (not just education). We have to stop blaming others for our dissatisfactions and as well stop listening to those who spout utter nonsense, hate and encourage violent behavior as a means to resolutions or worse as a ticket to do vicious actions towards others simply because they do not agree.
It is high-time we stop being animalistic and start focusing on regenerating the planet’s self-building health again by ending our reliance on fossil fuel much earlier and empowering our children and young adults.
