Climate Tribe: A Green Way Forward Is Our New Way Forward

DRAFT!

“The true measure of a community’s greatness is found in the compassionate actions of its members.” — Coretta Scott King

At the core of Climate Tribe—a child-site of the Climate Change Community—is our vision to forge a Green Way Forward through collective action and transformative change.

Over the years, I’ve delved not only into articles about the climate crisis but also into the global conversations they inspire. Unfortunately, a concerning trend has emerged: discussions often spiral into negativity, hopelessness, and disrespect. Instead of fostering solutions, they sometimes become platforms for hate speech and divisiveness.

While insightful comments and innovative ideas do exist, the overwhelming prevalence of negative discourse is alarming. This underscores the urgent need for not just a New Way Forward but a Green Way Forward.

Introducing Climate Tribe

Climate Tribe (climatetribe.com) aims to reshape the narrative around climate action by building a community rooted in kindness, respect, and collaboration. If you’re interested in learning more, I encourage you to read the blog posts I’ve shared here at eXit235.com, which detail how we can progress together through this platform.

We’re currently welcoming our inaugural group of members, including potential Founding Members, moderators, climate organizations, Climate Justice Advocates, and Climate Warriors. Our goal is to cultivate a supportive and proactive community committed to seriously addressing the Climate and Ecological Emergency.

Climate Tribe is a Global Tribe

Our mission is to empower people worldwide with climate knowledge, creating a space where we can learn together and protect our children’s future. Climate Tribe is more than just a networking platform; it’s a place where we collaborate to become more adaptive and resilient in the face of environmental challenges.

I believe that by sharing ideas—like those in the manuscript I’ve been working on since 2016—and through our Adaptive Resiliency mini-community, we can make a meaningful impact. If you’re interested in exploring these concepts further, please consider signing up for our Basic Plan.

Our Community Goals

  1. Global Networking: Connect with others who share your interests, work, goals, and passions. Building a network of like-minded individuals amplifies our collective impact.
  2. Collaborative Learning: Engage in self-directed learning or group discussions through our sustainability-focused book club and other mini-communities within the platform.
  3. Mutual Support: Once we reach a certain membership threshold, we’ll implement programs to provide financial assistance to members affected by the Climate and Ecological Emergency. We believe in using our resources to help those in need.
  4. Meaningful Dialogue: Open and respectful conversation is essential for developing adaptive resiliency measures, projects, education, and policies. We’ll emphasize advanced listening skills to facilitate healthy debates and collaborative problem-solving.
  5. Embracing AI: By integrating AI into our efforts, we can enhance our solutions and progress more effectively. We encourage members to work alongside AI and recognize its potential in addressing climate challenges.
