How To Fight Fascism In America

Republicans don’t care about hypocrisy or lies, they don’t care about decorum or rules. How do you fight back against an enemy that doesn’t care at all? Meet them where they are. Namely, use their playbook against them: coordinate between universities, think tanks, the media, and government to push democratic, leftist ideology into every aspect of society. They already think we’re doing this. Might as well actually start conspiring.

While I don’t fully agree with every point made in the video, I do resonate with much of the message, especially the emphasis on critical thinking and being informed. The idea that we must constantly fact-check and stay vigilant in understanding the issues at hand is crucial in today’s world, where misinformation and manipulation often cloud our judgment. The suggestion to avoid simply reacting emotionally, but rather to engage thoughtfully, is something I wholeheartedly support. As I’ve discussed in my previous blog posts, education is key in combating harmful ideologies like Fascism. By becoming informed, we empower ourselves to think critically and take action grounded in facts and understanding, rather than falling into the trap of reactionary behaviors. It’s not about adopting the methods of those we oppose, but about developing Adaptive Resiliency—the ability to adapt intelligently and thoughtfully to the challenges we face, while remaining true to our core values of justice, equality, and human dignity. So, while I might not fully align with every perspective shared, I agree that staying educated, fact-checking, and engaging in thoughtful dialogue are essential steps towards creating a more just and resilient society.
