“The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.” – Robert Swan
Welcome, Readers:
Since today is March 4th, 2025—let’s March Forth in protecting our children’s future and strengthening our Democracy!
Before diving in, please check out my last blog post regarding Climate Tribe’s policy change for the Free Access space, specifically the cCc Nudge space. Due to increased harassment and two alarming physical altercations that threatened my safety, I have implemented stricter guidelines for joining.
Additionally, I am launching a new space for $9.99 per year, focused on protecting and now saving our Democracy. This space, called Active Resistance, will be entirely non-violent, serving as a hub for education, networking, and expressing concerns about current events. Active Resistance will officially open today, March 4th.
Climate Tribe Background:
I established Climate Change Community as an LLC in March 2017, following the formation of another LLC in 2016 designed for future expansion. Around this time, I secured approximately twenty domain names, including Climate Tribe, envisioning a network of interconnected child-sites encompassing communities, blogs, and eventually, an online SaaS platform offering storage and CMS solutions for internal members.
Rather than rushing to establish an online presence and gather subscribers, I took the time to study the landscape. Observing how other communities encountered scams, spam, and cybersecurity threats reinforced my commitment to prioritizing security and foresight.
Climate Tribe operates on the Mighty Network Platform, while Climate Change Community, the parent site, runs on WordPress as a trust-based community. Membership requires a face-to-face video conferencing interview, and the membership fee is currently under review.
Many have asked why I don’t show my face online. My decision stems from a harrowing experience in lower Manhattan, where I was persistently followed in late 2017 and throughout 2018—even while traveling to the South of France. I believe maintaining anonymity shields me from those who oppose climate action and embrace an us vs. them mindset, refusing accountability for their actions.
I have witnessed firsthand the sophisticated surveillance tactics employed by “thought or morality police” (not law enforcement) on behalf of the fossil fuel industry and the religious far-right. These experiences have only deepened my commitment to vigilance and cautious engagement.
At my core, I am a lifelong learner, constantly striving to comprehend our predicament and assist others. I am deeply concerned about our collective future and continuously seek ways to improve our society, communities, and overall well-being.
Climate Tribe Overview:
Climate Tribe consists of at least 80 mini-communities, which I plan to categorize further on eXit235.com. These spaces are structured into various membership plans, and I encourage subscribers to join the Basic Plan and cCc Nudge for direct engagement and face-to-face discussions with me.
Many of these spaces focus on specialized topics, including gardening, insect populations, ocean conservation, education, and specific career fields such as Infrastructure Workers, Essential Services, Firefighters, Emergency Services, Law Enforcement, Nurses, and Teachers. I continuously expand these offerings based on emerging needs and subscriber requests.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
The Basic Plan & cCc Nudge:
The Basic Plan ($25.99 annually) includes access to the Self-Preservation Space, Green Tech Café, The Book Club, and the cCc Nudge space.
cCc Nudge is a key engagement hub where I host face-to-face discussions and weekly meetings, fostering collaboration and encouraging community-driven improvements.
Each space, aside from cCc Nudge, is also available as a standalone subscription for $9.99 per year. However, I highly recommend the three-tier Basic Plan for its extensive resources and opportunities for engagement.
Self-Preservation Space:
Previously known as Adaptive Resiliency, the Self-Preservation Space centers on ethical strategies to help humanity adapt to a warming world caused by rising CO2 levels. It features AI-driven networking, private and public messaging, a robust timeline, and AI-integrated commenting to enhance discussion and collaboration.
I firmly believe that Self-Preservation is a natural extension of cultivating sustainable and ethical Adaptive Resiliency, both individually and collectively.
“The best way to predict the future is to create it.” – Peter Drucker
Green Tech Café:
As a retired IT technician, I continuously seek to expand my knowledge of online security and privacy. The Green Tech Café is dedicated to supporting Climate Justice Advocates and those working to defend our Democracy. Once we establish a solid subscriber base, I plan to invite ethical hackers and experienced IT professionals to contribute their expertise to this space.
Additionally, Green Tech Café is pioneering a new model of tech circularity, ensuring broader internet accessibility while reducing e-waste through device repurposing.
“The future belongs to those who see possibilities before they become obvious.” – John Sculley
The Book Club:
The Book Club empowers subscribers to establish and lead their own reading labs, fostering self-education and intellectual growth. To start, I will be introducing two thought-provoking books:
- There Is Still Time by Peter Seidel
- Just Listen by Mark Goulston
Both books provide invaluable insights and are essential reads for those seeking to stay informed and engaged.
“A room without books is like a body without a soul.” – Marcus Tullius Cicero
Wrapping It Up:
I sincerely hope you consider subscribing to the Basic Plan or any other plan that aligns with your interests and expertise.
One of our long-term goals at Climate Change Community and Climate Tribe is to provide $1,000 assistance checks to members struggling due to the Climate Emergency. As our membership base grows, this initiative will become a reality, offering meaningful support to those in need.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to welcoming you inside.
