David Attenborough’s Witness Statement (A Life on Our Planet)

The wonderful David Attenborough. I met him about 30 years ago and he’s exactly as you see him on TV. I’d written I guess you’d cal it fan mail giving thanks to David for his incredible contribution to teaching the general public about Natural History, in particular with his ‘Life’ series – Life on Earth, Trials of Life, and Living Planet. 3 days after meeting him, he kindly wrote me a hand written letter thanking me for my appreciation of his work. That shows you what an absolutely genuinely kind gentleman he really is. At 94 years of age, he’s still working and encouraging us to look after our planet Earth. I tip my hat to you sir, your a gentleman, a scholar, and a national treasure. – Steve Harding
