ANNOUNCEMENT
All future content related to the Green Emergency Manuscript (GEM) and Adaptive Resiliency Centers (ARCs) will now be published in the Self-Preservation Space (formerly known as Adaptive Resiliency) within the Climate Tribe platform. This dedicated area will serve as our main hub for ideas, updates, collaboration, and learning related to climate adaptation, survival strategies, and community transformation.
A Commitment to Change
“When everything feels uncertain, it is our commitment to change that lights the way.”
My life has been shaped by a deep commitment to Adaptive Resiliency, from the standpoint of both self and collective preservation, and real climate action. This journey has not been easy—it’s been full of challenges, learning, and powerful growth. But through it all, my mission has stayed the same: to help build a more secure, just, and sustainable future for everyone.
Over time, my personal experiences and professional goals have become one and the same. The work I do is deeply connected to who I am and what I believe. From this passion came two major projects: the Green Emergency Manuscript (GEM) and the Adaptive Resiliency Centers (ARCs). These are not just ideas—they are blueprints for how we can respond to the growing Climate and Ecological (Green) Emergency in a way that is both practical and full of hope.
The Personal Path to Resilience
For many years, I struggled with both physical and mental health. I faced unhealthy habits, chronic stress, and even targeted harassment simply for speaking up about the climate crisis. By 2018, it all became too much. I hit a breaking point. But through faith, discipline, and a return to learning, I began to rebuild.
I focused on getting stronger—body, mind, and spirit. That personal growth taught me a powerful lesson: real change starts within. This is the heart of Adaptive Resiliency, from the standpoint of both self and collective preservation—constantly growing and learning how to face life’s challenges head-on.
Through blogging, building online communities, and creating safe spaces for climate dialogue, I’ve tried to help others find their own strength too. We’re not alone. We rise stronger when we rise together.
The Birth of the Green Emergency Manuscript (GEM)
The first idea for GEM came to me on August 24, 2016, in a dream so vivid it shook me awake. It showed scenes of climate breakdown and human struggle that I could not ignore. I knew I had to do something.
That dream became a spark, and over the years, I turned that spark into a full manuscript. GEM is built on more than a decade of research, real-life observations, and relentless passion for protecting our planet and future generations.
At its core, GEM offers a set of urgent but hopeful actions, including:
-
Creating local strategies to adapt to climate change
-
Building community-led support systems
-
Establishing emergency funds for those affected by disasters
-
Using AI and digital tools to speed up solutions
But GEM is more than a guide. It’s a movement. A call to action. A declaration that we don’t have to wait for someone else to save us—we can start saving each other, right now.
Why Adaptive Resiliency Matters More Than Ever
We are living in a time of rapid change. NASA and the IPCC continue to report worsening conditions—from rising temperatures and disappearing ice to destructive storms and droughts. Human activities like deforestation, pollution, and reckless land use are speeding up the Ecological (Green) Emergency.
These changes are not in the future. They are happening now. Across the world, families are being displaced by floods, farms are losing crops to heatwaves, and entire ecosystems are collapsing.
According to the United Nations, extreme weather events have quadrupled in the last 50 years. This isn’t just about climate—it’s about survival.
As Greta Thunberg once said, “Humanity is waging war against nature. If we win, we lose.” That statement should haunt us into action.
This is where Adaptive Resiliency, from the standpoint of both self and collective preservation, becomes essential. We need to be strong enough to face what’s coming—and compassionate enough to help others do the same.
Adaptive Resiliency Centers (ARCs): Shelters for a New Future
One of the key ideas within GEM is the creation of Adaptive Resiliency Centers (ARCs). These are places where people can find shelter, learn survival skills, and build stronger, safer communities together.
ARCs are designed to:
-
Give safety and shelter to people displaced by climate events
-
Offer classes and training in green skills and self-sufficiency
-
Act as collaboration centers for community planning and mutual support
Originally, I imagined these starting in the U.S. But with growing resistance to climate truth in some parts of the country, I’m now considering launching the first ARC in Northeast Canada. Long-term, I hope to see these centers everywhere—especially in vulnerable regions that need them the most.
Climate Tribe: A Place for Action and Belonging
While GEM and the ARCs focus on preparation and safety, Climate Tribe is where people come together. It’s our digital village—where learning, creativity, and collaboration happen in real time.
Here are a few of the exciting programs within Climate Tribe:
-
Climate Tribe Book Club (Launched February 11): Starting with “The Art of Listening”, we explore how communication and compassion shape our climate response.
-
Green Tech Café: A space to share and support eco-friendly technology, recycle responsibly, and uplift local Climate Justice innovators.
-
Self-Preservation Space: Formerly the Adaptive Resiliency Space, this is where we dig deep into survival strategies and mutual support.
-
Financial Emergency Support Program: Offering real help to people facing climate disasters. This fund grows as more people join our community.
Creative Solutions for Real-World Problems
To truly practice Adaptive Resiliency, from the standpoint of both self and collective preservation, we need more than good ideas—we need smart, doable solutions. That means:
-
Green building designs that stay cool without needing air conditioning
-
Local food systems using gardens, permaculture, and shared farms
-
Water systems that recycle, harvest rain, and prevent waste
-
Smart alerts using AI and IoT to warn about storms and disasters
These tools can help whole neighborhoods become safer, healthier, and more self-reliant.
Looking Ahead: Next Steps for Us All
This work isn’t done—it’s just beginning. My goals moving forward include:
-
Publishing more blog posts and materials from GEM and ARC plans
-
Sharing videos on YouTube about how we build Adaptive Resiliency, from the standpoint of both self and collective preservation
-
Partnering with others who care about people and the planet
-
Building honest, ethical ways to fund our mission without relying on corporate donors
Call to Action: Join the Movement
Staying the same is not an option. The world is changing—and so must we. We all have a part to play, whether that’s planting a garden, learning first aid, helping a neighbor, or speaking out for the Earth.
At Climate Change Community LLC and Climate Tribe, we welcome every voice. This is your invitation to stand with us, grow with us, and help shape a future that is both kind and resilient.
Together, we can make Adaptive Resiliency, from the standpoint of both self and collective preservation, a reality—not just for ourselves, but for generations to come.
This mission is my life’s purpose.
And nothing will stop me.
